Once your campaign is built, the next step is to schedule it, publish it, and manage it from the campaign list. This article covers how to set the send time, choose the sending address, publish the campaign, pause it if needed, and troubleshoot common scheduling issues.
Times are available in 15-minute increments.
Important: LeadCenter recommends scheduling campaigns at least 2 hours in advance for best results. The system requires the scheduled time to be at least 30 minutes in the future.
The selected address must be configured for Email Marketing sending. If no valid sending address is available, the Send Email step will show an error until one is selected.
There are two ways to publish a campaign.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | The campaign has been created but not yet scheduled. |
| Scheduled | The campaign is published and waiting to send at the scheduled date and time. |
| Completed | The campaign has already been sent and the run is finished. |
| Paused | The campaign was unscheduled after being published. |
| Deleted | The campaign has been moved to trash. |
If a campaign has unpublished edits, you may also see (has draft) next to the status. This means changes were saved but have not yet been applied to the scheduled version.
If you need to stop a campaign before it sends:
The campaign status changes to Paused.
Important: Before re-scheduling a paused campaign, make sure the scheduled date and time are still in the future. If the original scheduled time has already passed, open the campaign designer and update the Schedule step first.
The campaign list shows the main campaign details and actions in one place. Columns typically include:
Use the search bar to find campaigns by name.
You can sort the Scheduled campaigns table by the Scheduled at column. This makes it easier to find the next campaign to send or review the most recently scheduled campaigns.
If your campaign is not sending, check the following:
| Issue | What You’ll See | What to Do |
|---|---|---|
| Email Marketing subscription not active | A warning banner appears telling you that an Email Marketing subscription is required before publishing campaigns. | Activate the Email Marketing subscription, then refresh the page. |
| Template is not marketing-ready | The Send Email step shows an error saying the selected template is missing required information. | Edit the template and add both [[unsubscribe_link]] (or [[unsubscribe_url]]) and [[postal_address]]. |
| Audience segment is empty | The campaign runs but zero emails are sent. | Review the Contact Filter step and make sure the audience rules match actual contacts. |
| Sending email address not configured | The Send Email step shows an error asking you to select a sending email. | Select a valid sending email address in the Send from dropdown. |
| Schedule is missing or too soon | The Schedule step shows a validation error. | Set a future date and time, and make sure it is at least 30 minutes in the future. |
| Campaign is still in Draft | The campaign status shows Draft. | Open the campaign and use Save & Schedule, or schedule it from the campaign list. |
| Campaign was unscheduled | The campaign status shows Paused. | Schedule it again, and make sure the scheduled time is still valid. |
| All matching contacts are opted out | The campaign runs but sends zero emails. | Review the audience and check whether the contacts have Do Not Email or Do Not Mass Email enabled. |
| Campaign run failed | The run details show a failed status with an error message. | Review the error message. If needed, create a new campaign with the same settings and contact support. |
Yes. You can open the campaign and make changes. When saving, you can choose Save to keep the edits as a draft, or Save & Schedule to apply the changes to the scheduled version.
The campaign moves to Paused status and will not send until it is scheduled again.
LeadCenter recommends at least 2 hours for best results, but the system allows scheduling as close as 30 minutes in the future.
Scheduled email campaigns are designed as one-time sends. If you want to resend similar content, create a new campaign.
It means you saved changes that have not yet been applied to the currently scheduled version. Use Save & Schedule to apply those changes.
No. Scheduled email campaigns use a fixed three-step structure: Schedule → Contact Filter → Send Email. For multi-step sequences with delays or branching, use workflows instead.
