This article provides a high-level overview of what syncs between LeadCenter and Redtail CRM.
LeadCenter to Redtail
Contacts — Contacts created or updated in LeadCenter can sync to Redtail CRM.
Appointments — Appointments scheduled in LeadCenter sync to Redtail calendars.
Accounts — Financial account details (such as AUM and insurance products) sync from LeadCenter to Redtail.
Notes — Notes created in LeadCenter can sync to Redtail.
Tasks — Tasks created or updated in LeadCenter can sync to Redtail.
Automatic Contact Matching When Pushing to Redtail
Before LeadCenter automatically creates a new contact in Redtail, it first checks whether a matching Redtail contact already exists.
This helps reduce duplicate contacts and helps avoid overwriting or conflicting with existing Redtail data.
How It Works
Before creating a new Redtail contact, LeadCenter searches Redtail using the contact’s available email addresses and phone numbers.
If a matching Redtail contact is found, LeadCenter skips creating a new contact to avoid duplicates and prevent unintended data changes.
If no matching Redtail contact is found, LeadCenter creates a new contact in Redtail.
Where This Applies
Automatic contact push from LeadCenter to Redtail
Background pushes triggered when related records such as appointments, tasks, or notes require the contact to exist in Redtail first
Note: This automatic matching applies to background and automated pushes.
Manual Push to Redtail actions may still use the manual matching flow, where you choose the Redtail contact yourself.
Important: If Redtail returns an error during the matching step, LeadCenter falls back to creating a new contact so the sync is not blocked.
Redtail to LeadCenter
New contacts — New contacts created in Redtail can be pulled into LeadCenter (controlled by a separate setting).
Contact updates — Changes made to linked contacts in Redtail can sync back to LeadCenter when bidirectional sync is enabled.
Activities / tasks — Activities and task updates from Redtail can sync into LeadCenter. Redtail tasks can also appear in the Tasks module when task update sync is enabled.
Note: Contact and task updates from Redtail are controlled by separate bidirectional sync settings in the Redtail configuration.
The Redtail integration helps keep client, activity, and task data aligned across both systems, reducing manual updates and improving visibility.
