Domain Setup and DNS Records for Your Landing Pages
Setting up a custom subdomain lets you serve your landing pages from your own branded URL
(for example, app.yourdomain.com) instead of the default LeadCenter domain.
Requirements
An active subscription (or an offline / LeadCenter plan) is required to generate SSL certificates.
SSL certificates are generated only for custom domains, not default LeadCenter domains.
How to Set Up
Enter your subdomain: Go to Marketing → Domain. Enter your full subdomain, such as app.yourdomain.com, and save it.
Create the landing page CNAME record: At your domain provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, and others), create a CNAME record pointing your subdomain to us-domain.leadcenter.ai.
Type: CNAME
Name: your subdomain or host name, depending on your DNS provider
Value:us-domain.leadcenter.ai
TTL: Auto
Wait for the SSL validation record to appear: After saving your domain in LeadCenter, a separate SSL certificate validation CNAME record appears on the page, usually within about 30 seconds.
Add the SSL validation CNAME record: Copy the exact Name and Value shown on the page and add that record to your DNS provider.
Wait for certificate validation: Once AWS validates the record, your certificate status changes to Issued and your landing pages are secured with HTTPS.
Important: If your DNS provider offers proxy settings, add the SSL validation CNAME record with Proxy set to DNS only.
Certificate Status
Pending — the certificate has been requested and is waiting for DNS validation
Issued — the certificate is active and your custom domain is secured with HTTPS
Timed Out — the validation record was not added within 72 hours
Failed — the certificate request failed
Reissuing a Certificate
If the certificate shows Timed Out or Failed, a Reissue Certificate button appears.
Clicking it requests a new certificate.
If your DNS validation record is already in place, the new certificate can validate automatically without any additional DNS changes.
LeadCenter also attempts to reissue timed-out or failed certificates automatically during nightly maintenance.
Important Notes
The SSL validation CNAME record must be added within 72 hours of certificate creation, or the certificate request will time out.
DNS changes can still take time to propagate depending on your provider.
If you change your landing page domain later, LeadCenter automatically requests a new certificate for the new domain.
If you switch back to a previous domain, LeadCenter can reuse the earlier certificate when available.
Each domain and account combination has at most one active certificate at a time.
Troubleshooting
The SSL validation record is not showing yet: Wait about 30 seconds after saving the domain, then refresh the page.
My certificate is still pending: Confirm that you added the SSL validation CNAME exactly as shown on the page.
My certificate timed out: Click Reissue Certificate. If your DNS record is already correct, the new request may validate automatically.
My landing page is not loading on the custom domain: Make sure both the main landing page CNAME and the SSL validation CNAME were added correctly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to contact support to install SSL? — No. SSL certificate creation and validation are handled automatically. You only need to add the DNS records shown on the page.
How long does SSL validation take? — Once the DNS record is added, validation usually finishes within minutes to a few hours.
What if I change my subdomain later? — LeadCenter requests a new certificate for the new domain automatically.
Why is my certificate not being generated? — Make sure you have an active subscription and that you are using a custom domain instead of a default LeadCenter domain.
