Exporting Contacts using Contacts and Sales Pipeline Dashboards

Exporting contacts using the contacts or sales pipeline dashboard gives you greater control over the dimension filters for contacts. You can use contact segments to apply advanced filtering before exporting the data.

To export contacts:

  1. Go to the contacts dashboard or sales pipeline dashboard.
  2. Use the Add filter button to filter the data to the dimensions you want.
  3. Click on the Actions button in the upper right corner of the page.
  4. Click Download.
  5. The export downloads as a CSV file.

Export limit: Contact exports from the Contacts and Sales Pipeline pages are capped at 5,000 rows per file. If your filtered list contains more than 5,000 records, the CSV includes the most recently created 5,000 records that match your filters.

The export respects the filters you applied before downloading. Records are written newest first based on creation date, so the file includes the latest matching contacts in your filtered list.

Exporting more than 5,000 contacts

If you need to export a larger list, split it into smaller filtered exports.

  • Filter by date range, such as this year and last year.
  • Filter by source, stage, or owner and export each segment separately.
  • Filter by tag or category and export each group separately.

Each filtered export is handled independently, so you can download up to 5,000 rows per filtered list and combine the files outside of LeadCenter if needed.

Note: The default All Fields export includes Spouse Salutation and Spouse Client Status for Financial Advisor accounts. These columns appear after Spouse Full name and before Tax Id.

If a contact does not have a linked spouse, or the spouse does not have those values set, the spouse export fields are left blank.
