GoTo Connect Integration

The GoTo Connect integration enables your team to place calls directly from LeadCenter.AI and automatically track inbound and outbound phone activity. Calls are matched to the correct contacts, logged in your call history, and can optionally create new leads when new callers reach out.


What You Can Do with the GoTo Connect Integration

  • Click-to-call from LeadCenter: Place GoTo Connect calls by clicking a contact’s phone number anywhere in LeadCenter.
  • Automatic call tracking: Inbound and outbound GoTo Connect calls sync automatically into your LeadCenter call log.
  • Smart contact matching: Calls are automatically linked to existing contacts and leads using standardized phone number matching.
  • Optional lead creation: Unknown inbound callers can automatically create new leads if enabled.
  • Internal calls excluded: Calls between GoTo Connect users inside your firm are not captured or synced into LeadCenter.

Connecting Your GoTo Connect Account

Connecting GoTo Connect takes just a few steps:

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → Telephony .
  2. Select the GoTo Connect card.
  3. Click Connect and sign in to authorize access.

Firm-level integration: Only one GoTo Connect account needs to be connected per firm. Individual users do not need to connect their own accounts.


Making Calls with GoTo Connect

You can place GoTo Connect calls directly from any contact’s phone number in LeadCenter:

  1. Click a contact’s phone number anywhere inside LeadCenter.
  2. Select GoTo Connect from the call options.
  3. The GoTo Connect desktop or mobile app opens with the number pre-filled.
  4. Start the call from the GoTo Connect app.

Calls placed directly from the GoTo Connect app (outside LeadCenter) also sync back into LeadCenter automatically.


Setting GoTo Connect as Your Default Calling App (Optional)

If you want all phone links (tel:) on your computer to open in GoTo Connect by default:

  • Mac: Run brew install duti and then duti -s com.logmein.goto tel
  • Windows: Go to Settings → Apps → Default apps → Choose default apps by protocol, select tel, and choose GoTo Connect.

How Call Tracking Works

Once GoTo Connect is connected, LeadCenter automatically syncs call activity in the background.

  • Inbound calls: Calls to your GoTo Connect numbers are captured with caller information, timestamps, and call duration.
  • Outbound calls: Calls placed through GoTo Connect are logged automatically.
  • External calls only: Internal calls between GoTo Connect extensions are not captured.
  • Reliable syncing: LeadCenter regularly checks GoTo Connect to ensure your call history stays complete.

Note: Internal calls are never sent to LeadCenter and do not appear in call logs or contact activity.


Matching Calls to Leads

LeadCenter automatically links GoTo Connect calls to the correct contacts using consistent matching rules.

  • Phone number normalization: Phone numbers are cleaned and standardized before matching.
  • Automatic linking: If the number exists on a lead, the call is attached to that lead’s activity timeline.
  • Consistent behavior: The same matching logic used for forms and other lead sources applies to GoTo Connect calls.

Automatically Creating New Leads from Calls

You can enable automatic lead creation when inbound calls come from phone numbers not associated with existing leads.

  • New number → new lead (optional): When enabled, new callers automatically become leads.
  • Pre-filled lead details:
    • The caller’s phone number is saved on the lead.
    • If GoTo Connect provides a name, LeadCenter attempts to split it into first and last name.
    • The lead is marked as originating from GoTo Connect for reporting and filtering.
  • Automation-ready: Any workflows, assignments, or automations tied to lead creation will run normally.

Tip: If you prefer to review callers manually, disable automatic lead creation. Calls will still be logged and linked to existing leads.


Viewing Your GoTo Connect Call History

After connecting GoTo Connect, call activity appears throughout LeadCenter:

  • Call log: View recent calls in the Call Activity section and filter by GoTo Connect.
  • Contact timeline: Linked calls appear directly in each contact’s activity history.
  • Call details: Each call shows direction, timestamp, duration, answered/missed status, and recordings when available.

Note: GoTo Connect calls appear in a dedicated GoTo Connect tab inside both the Call Log and contact records.


Settings and Controls

  • Automatic lead creation: Enable or disable lead creation from unknown callers.
  • Source visibility: GoTo Connect calls are clearly labeled for easy filtering and reporting.
  • Internal calls excluded: Calls between team members are not captured, keeping reports focused on client conversations.

Disconnecting GoTo Connect

You can disconnect GoTo Connect at any time:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Telephony .
  2. Click the GoTo Connect card.
  3. Click Disconnect.

Note: Disconnecting stops new call data from syncing, but previously logged call history remains available.
