A2P 10DLC Campaign Registration (Business Text Messaging)
A2P 10DLC campaign registration is required by U.S. mobile carriers for businesses that want to send
outbound text messages (SMS/MMS) using local 10-digit phone numbers.
This registration is completed once per firm and is required before outbound messaging can be enabled.
What A2P Registration Is (and Is Not)
Required for: Sending outbound text messages
Not required for:
Inbound text messages
Inbound phone calls
Outbound phone calls
Important: Without an approved A2P campaign, phone numbers can still receive calls
and inbound texts, but outbound text messages will not be delivered.
How the A2P Registration Process Works
The A2P registration process consists of three steps:
Customer Profile – Created once per firm to verify business identity.
Brand Registration – Registers your business brand with carriers.
Campaign Registration – Defines how your business will use text messaging.

Legal Company Name (must match EIN records exactly)
Business Type (LLC, Corporation, Sole Proprietorship, etc.)
Business Industry (Finance, Insurance, etc.)
Employer Identification Number (EIN) – 9-digit EIN (no SSNs)
Registered Company Address (Street, City, State, ZIP)
Company Website URL
Main Company Phone Number (public-facing or main office number)
Primary Contact Information
Name
Email address
Phone number
Title
SMS Opt-In Source URL (page where users provide SMS consent, such as a contact or consultation form)
Website & SMS Compliance Requirements (Required for Submission)
U.S. carriers review your website as part of the A2P 10DLC campaign approval process.
Before submitting your campaign, your website must meet the following SMS compliance requirements.
1. SMS Consent Checkbox
A standalone SMS consent checkbox must be present on any form used to collect phone numbers
The checkbox must be unchecked by default
The form must still be submittable even if SMS consent is not checked
Required checkbox language (copy/paste recommended):
[ ] I agree to receive SMS messages from Your Business Name regarding my inquiry,
including appointment reminders and service-related updates. Message frequency may vary.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.
SMS consent is optional and not required to submit this form.
2. Phone Number Field Behavior
The phone number field must be optional, or
Only required if the SMS consent checkbox is checked
3. Privacy Policy & Terms Links
A visible Privacy Policy link must appear on the same page as the SMS consent checkbox
A visible Terms & Conditions link is also required
Both must link to separate, standalone pages (not embedded only in form text)
4. Required Privacy Policy Language
Your Privacy Policy must explicitly state that mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared for marketing purposes.
Recommended language:
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates
for marketing or promotional purposes. Information is only shared with service providers as
necessary to deliver our services.
