Hosted Numbers: Requirements & Approval Process

A Hosted Number allows you to use LeadCenter’s messaging capabilities with an existing phone number you already own, without changing your current voice provider.

Hosted Numbers route SMS/MMS through LeadCenter while leaving all voice services unchanged.


What Hosted Numbers Are (and Are Not)

  • Used for: Text messaging with an existing voice-enabled number
  • Not used for: Voice routing or number transfers

Important: Hosted Numbers do not affect voice calling in any way.


Prerequisite: A2P Campaign Registration

An approved A2P 10DLC campaign is required before Hosted Numbers can send outbound messages.


Hosted Numbers Process Overview

  • Typical timeline: up to 7 business days
  • SMS downtime: 1–2 hours
  • Voice downtime: none

Hosted Number Setup Steps

  1. Eligibility check
  2. SMS enablement confirmation
  3. Ownership verification call
  4. Electronic Letter of Authorization (LoA)
  5. Activation and testing

  • Authorized user name
  • Business name
  • Full service address
  • Email address for LoA

How to Submit Your Hosted Number Request

Email the required information to support@leadcenter.ai and include the phone number you want to host.


Billing

Hosted Numbers are billed the same as standard virtual numbers. There is no separate transfer fee.
