Control AI spend sets a monthly cap on Troy AI chat and completed Claudia AI meetings. You can give each person their own cap, or set one shared cap for the whole organization. The total on the page is the current calendar month, from the first day through the last. It resets at the start of the next month.
Open Billing and click Control AI spend. The same button is on the AI page and on AI agent pages.
You need the View AI spend limit permission to open the page. You need Update AI spend limit to change the cap. Both permissions are under Security Management, in AI Spend. If you can view the page but not update it, you will see the current cap and this month's spend, and the switch and Save limit stay disabled.
Turning the switch on does not apply the cap until you save. Turning the switch off removes the cap immediately. The first time you turn it on, the page starts on Per user at $100. Change that before you save if you want a different amount.
Each person has a separate monthly cap. When that person reaches it, Troy chat stops for them, and Claudia will not join a new meeting on their calendar, until the next calendar month. Other people are not affected.
Preset amounts are $50, $100, $200, $300, and $500.
A person who has reached their cap shows an At limit badge next to their name.
One shared monthly cap covers everyone. When combined spend reaches it, Troy chat and new Claudia meetings stop for the whole organization until the next calendar month.
Preset amounts are $600, $1,200, $2,400, $3,600, and $6,000. If you have not saved an organization amount yet, the page starts at $2,400.
The total card shows At limit when the shared cap is reached.
If the cap is reached while Claudia is already in a meeting, she stays until that meeting ends. The cost is added when the meeting is finished. A new meeting will not get Claudia once the cap is reached.
Someone who is blocked sees: You've reached your monthly AI spend limit. Ask an administrator to raise the limit.
The table under Total spending lists each team member and what they have spent this month. Search by name or email. In per-user mode, anyone at their cap is marked At limit.
When a cap is hit, account owners and admins get one email. In per-user mode, that is one email per person for the month. In organization mode, that is one email for the whole organization for the month. The email links back to this page.
Metered billing report on this page opens the billing report. That report is separate from the cap. The cap stops Troy chat and new Claudia meetings. It does not change the subscription.
