Capturing Leads by Email Redirects

E-mail Redirect lets you forward inbound lead emails, such as website contact form notifications, marketplace inquiries, referral platform emails, or vendor lead notifications, to a unique LeadCenter address tied to one of your Sources or Campaigns. Each forwarded email becomes a contact in LeadCenter attributed to that Source or Campaign.

Where to Set It Up

The recommended path is from the Sources page. Each Source or Campaign row has an Actions menu where you can generate its forward email.

There is also a standalone E-mail Redirect page that lists assigned email addresses in one place.

How It Works

Each Source can have one unique LeadCenter inbound address in this format:

leads-{id}@oryxmail.com

For example:

leads-pqzqp1p9@oryxmail.com

Any email you forward to that address becomes a contact attributed to the Source or Campaign where the address was generated.

Generate a Forward Email for a Source

  1. Go to Marketing → Sources.
  2. Find the Source or Campaign you want to use.
  3. Open its row Actions menu.
  4. Click Generate forward email.

LeadCenter creates the address immediately. The address is stored on that Source and also appears on the standalone E-mail Redirect page.

Note: The Generate forward email action is only shown when that Source or Campaign does not already have an assigned email address.

Generate a Forward Email for a Campaign

Campaigns are child Sources. To generate an email address for a Campaign:

  1. Go to Marketing → Sources.
  2. Find the parent Source.
  3. Open the row Actions menu.
  4. Click Child campaigns to open the campaign list.
  5. Find the Campaign you want to use.
  6. Open the Campaign row Actions menu.
  7. Click Generate forward email.

The Campaign now has its own dedicated inbound email address, separate from the parent Source.

Find and Copy a Generated Address

You can retrieve a generated address in two ways:

  • From the Sources page: the address is stored on the Source or Campaign row. Once the address exists, the Generate forward email action no longer appears for that row.
  • From the E-mail Redirect page: open E-mail Redirect to see assigned email addresses in a table.

On the E-mail Redirect page, click the small copy icon next to the assigned address. LeadCenter copies the address and briefly displays E-mail copied successfully!

Forward Your Lead Emails to the Generated Address

Set up automatic forwarding from your inbox, lead vendor, form notification system, or referral platform so matching emails reach the LeadCenter address.

Use a focused forwarding rule so only lead emails are forwarded, not your entire inbox.

Test the Setup

  1. Trigger or send a sample lead email to the inbox you configured to forward.
  2. Confirm the email is forwarded to the generated LeadCenter address.
  3. Open Pipelines.
  4. Confirm the new contact appears in the New stage.
  5. Open the contact and verify the Source or Campaign matches the one where you generated the address.

Custom Email Parsers for Enterprise Customers

An email parser extracts lead information from the body of incoming emails, such as name, email, phone number, asset level, property of interest, or notes.

For customers on the LeadCenter Enterprise Plan, LeadCenter can build custom parsers to extract lead information from vendor-specific email formats and write it into the correct contact fields.

If you need help setting up a custom parser, contact support@leadcenter.ai.

Important Things to Know

  • Each Source or Campaign has at most one assigned email address.
  • Once an assigned email exists, the row’s Generate forward email action disappears.
  • If you need different attribution, generate the address on a different Source or Campaign.
  • Campaigns are child Sources, so a Campaign can have its own dedicated address separate from its parent Source.
  • Emails forwarded to the generated address are attributed to the Source or Campaign where that address was generated.

Best Practices

  • Generate the address on the right Source or Campaign. The address controls the attribution.
  • Use focused forwarding rules. Forward only lead emails, not every email in your inbox.
  • Use Campaign-specific addresses for campaign-level reporting. For example, use a separate Campaign address for each seminar, ad campaign, or lead vendor push.
  • Test the forwarding rule before launch. Send a sample lead email and confirm the contact appears in LeadCenter with the correct Source or Campaign.
  • Retest after inbox or vendor changes. A new signature, email template, security rule, or forwarding change can affect capture.

FAQs

Where do I generate a forward email?

From the Sources page, open a Source or Campaign row Actions menu and click Generate forward email.

How do I find an address I generated earlier?

You can find it on the Source or Campaign row, or open the standalone E-mail Redirect page to see assigned emails in one table.

Can I rename or customize the LeadCenter email address?

No. The address is generated automatically and tied to the Source or Campaign where it was created.

Can I have more than one forward email per Source?

No. Each Source or Campaign has one assigned email address. If you need separate addresses, create or use separate Campaigns under the parent Source.

What if I forward a non-lead email?

LeadCenter may still ingest it as a contact attributed to that Source or Campaign. Use inbox filters to forward only lead-related emails.

Where do leads from E-mail Redirect appear?

Open Pipelines and filter by the Source or Campaign tied to the assigned email address.
