Find Matching Lead Source URL Test Tool

Overview

The Find Matching Lead Source tool helps you verify that your UTM-based marketing links are correctly mapped to your Sources and Campaigns in LeadCenter. It’s a quick way to confirm whether your tracking links (from emails, ads, or videos) connect to the right campaign hierarchy in your CRM.

How It Works

When you open the following URL in your browser:

LeadCenter performs the following steps:

  1. Reads the UTM parameters in the URL:
    • utm_source=Youtube
    • utm_campaign=email-101
  2. Searches your account for matching entries under Dashboard → Leads → Campaigns.
  3. Attempts to match:
    • utm_source → matches a Source Name
    • utm_campaign → matches a Campaign Name under that source
  4. Displays results based on what it finds:
    • ✅ If both the source and campaign exist, the system displays the Campaign Name and Campaign ID.
    • ✅ If only the source exists (no campaign under it), the system displays the Source Name and Source ID.
    • ⚠️ If neither match is found, it displays No match found.

Examples

Case 1: Source and Campaign exist

Source Name | Campaign Name
-------------|---------------
Youtube | Email Marketing

URL Tested:
https://app.leadcenter.ai/find-matching-lead-source?utm_campaign=email-marketing&utm_source=Youtube

Result:
Campaign: Email Marketing - Campaign Id: 4534

Case 2: Only Source exists (no campaign)

Source Name | Campaign Name
-------------|---------------
Youtube | —

URL Tested:
https://app.leadcenter.ai/find-matching-lead-source?utm_campaign=email-marketing&utm_source=Youtube

Result:
Source: Youtube - Source Id: 232

Case 3: No match found

No matching source or campaign found.

In LeadCenter

You can manage your marketing hierarchy from Dashboard → Leads → Campaigns.

In LeadCenter:

  • A Source represents a high-level marketing channel (e.g., “Youtube”, “Facebook”, “Google Ads”).
  • Each source can have multiple Campaigns under it (e.g., “Email Marketing”, “Webinar October”, “Lead Form Q4”).
The Find Matching Lead Source tool helps ensure your UTM parameters point to the correct structure in your LeadCenter campaigns.

When to Use

  • To test if your UTM campaign links are mapped correctly.
  • To verify campaign tracking before launching new ads or emails.
  • To troubleshoot missing or mismatched lead attribution.
  • To confirm correct campaign setup before activating automations.

Tips

  • Both utm_source and utm_campaign are used for matching.
  • If a campaign exists under a source, the result will show the Campaign Name and Campaign ID.
  • If only a source exists, the result will show the Source Name and Source ID.
  • Matching is case-insensitive — “Youtube” and “youtube” are treated the same.
  • You can test any combination such as:
    • utm_source=Facebook&utm_campaign=webinar-q4
    • utm_source=LinkedIn&utm_campaign=lead-gen-oct
