LeadCenter automatically captures contacts from various sources, including form submissions, calendar bookings, phone calls, and text messages. When a new contact is captured, the system attempts to identify duplicate contacts based on the following criteria:
Family members are excluded from duplicate detection because many families and spouses share the same email address or phone number.
LeadCenter provides an option to merge duplicate contacts. For more details, visit Merging contacts in the Help Center.
You can use customer segments to generate a filtered list of duplicate contacts. Follow these steps to create the report:
This will create a list of all duplicate contacts in the system. You can save this filter to use it later.
March 2025 Update: A new configuration option, coming in Q2 2025, will allow you to customize how LeadCenter identifies duplicate contacts.
