Using Google Meet for Appointments

LeadCenter allows you to use Google Meet as a meeting location for your appointments. When enabled, a Google Meet link is automatically created and added to the appointment details, your Google Calendar event, and all confirmation emails — with no manual setup required.

Prerequisites

To use Google Meet in LeadCenter, you must have:

  • A connected Google Calendar
  • Push to Google Calendar enabled for the calendar

Google Meet links are generated by Google when the appointment syncs to Google Calendar.

Enabling Google Meet

Google Meet becomes available automatically once your Google Calendar is connected and syncing.

  1. Go to Calendars.
  2. Edit the calendar you want to use.
  3. Open the Calendar Connections tab.
  4. Connect your Google Calendar if it’s not already connected.
  5. Make sure Push to Google Calendar is enabled.

Once enabled, Google Meet will appear as a meeting location option.

Using Google Meet for Appointments

Scheduling an Appointment

  1. Create a new appointment from the calendar.
  2. In the Meeting Location field, select Google Meet.
  3. Complete the appointment details and save.

After saving, a Google Meet link is automatically generated when the event syncs to Google Calendar.

  • The link appears in the appointment details in LeadCenter.
  • The link appears on the Google Calendar event.
  • The link is included in appointment confirmation emails.

Using Google Meet with Public Calendar Links

You can allow clients to book Google Meet appointments directly through your public calendar links.

  1. Edit the calendar you want to configure.
  2. Open the Public calendar links tab.
  3. Edit an existing link or create a new one.
  4. In the Meeting Location section, enable Google Meet.
  5. Save the calendar link.

When clients book using this link, a Google Meet meeting is created automatically.

How Google Meet Links Work

  • Google generates the Meet link when the event syncs to Google Calendar.
  • The link is saved back to LeadCenter automatically.
  • A Join Google Meet button appears in the appointment details.
  • The link is included in all confirmation and reminder emails.

Tip: If the meeting link does not appear immediately, refresh the page. The link is created as soon as the Google Calendar sync completes.

Changing the Meeting Location

You can update the meeting type at any time:

  • If you switch from Google Meet to another location, the Meet link is removed automatically.
  • If you switch to Google Meet, a new link is generated when the event syncs.

Best Practices

  • Verify your Google Calendar connection before scheduling client meetings.
  • Allow a few seconds after saving for the Meet link to appear.
  • Test Google Meet with a sample appointment before sharing links with clients.

Troubleshooting

  • Google Meet option not available: Confirm that Google Calendar is connected and Push to Google Calendar is enabled.
  • Meeting link missing: Wait a moment and refresh — the link is created during calendar sync.
  • Sync issues: Review your Google Calendar connection under Calendar Connections.
