Orion Related Accounts and How Totals Work

LeadCenter groups connected Orion accounts under Related accounts so it is easier to review the full registration in one place.

In Orion, a registration may include a custodial wrapper plus one or more sleeves. LeadCenter keeps the Orion sleeve details where relevant, while using Related accounts as the account grouping label inside LeadCenter.

What Related Accounts Mean in LeadCenter

A related account group includes one main account plus any connected related accounts under it.

  • Main account is the top account in the group
  • Related accounts are the additional accounts attached under that main account
  • For Orion-connected firms, related accounts may include custodial, normal, contribution, or distribution account types

Important: Orion sleeve types are still preserved. Related accounts is simply the LeadCenter label for the group.

How Group Totals Work

LeadCenter calculates totals across the full related account group.

  • Total Issued = main account + all related accounts
  • Total Current = main account + all related accounts

This keeps totals easy to understand across account detail pages and the Accounts page.

Why Custodial Wrappers May Use an Issued Amount of $0

In Orion, a custodial wrapper often acts as the registration container while the actual money is represented in the related sleeves.

When linking Orion registrations, LeadCenter can set the custodial wrapper’s issued amount to $0. This helps avoid counting the same money twice in issued totals.

How Related Accounts Display

On an account details page, LeadCenter shows the full related account group together so it is easier to understand how the account fits into the registration.

FAQs

Does LeadCenter still show Orion sleeve types?

Yes. LeadCenter still preserves Orion sleeve details such as Custodial, Normal, Contribution, and Distribution where relevant.

Why does a custodial wrapper sometimes show an issued amount of $0?

This is used to help prevent double-counting when the wrapper is the registration container and the actual value is represented across related accounts.

Why are totals shown on the main row when the group is collapsed?

This makes it easier to review the full account group at a glance without expanding every registration.
