You can delete multiple accounts at once directly from the Accounts listing page.
This makes it faster to clean up unwanted accounts without opening and deleting each one individually.
For a broader overview of how accounts are managed in LeadCenter, see
Managing Financial Accounts.
How to Bulk Delete Accounts
Go to Accounts.
Check the box next to each account you want to delete.
When at least one account is selected, an action bar appears at the top of the table.
Click the red Delete button.
Review the confirmation dialog, which shows how many accounts are about to be deleted.
Click Yes, delete accounts to continue, or Cancel to go back.
Selecting Accounts
Use the checkbox in the table header to select all accounts on the current page.
Or select accounts one by one using the row checkboxes.
The action bar, including the Delete button, appears only when at least one account is selected.
What Happens When an Account Is Deleted
For each account that is successfully deleted, LeadCenter automatically performs related cleanup.
If the account is linked to Orion, Black Diamond, or a CSV-imported account, that link is removed automatically.
Writing advisors and account assets are removed.
Advisor commission payments, beneficiaries, bank payments, and account comments are deleted.
Documents linked to the account are detached from the account, but the documents themselves are kept.
Accounts That Cannot Be Deleted
Some accounts are automatically skipped and will not be deleted.
Issued accounts — accounts with a status of Issued cannot be deleted. To remove an issued account, cancel or terminate it first.
Accounts with transfers — accounts that have money transferred to or from other accounts cannot be deleted while those transfers still exist. If needed, review your transfer setup first in the related Help article for Financial Account Transfers.
If your selection includes accounts that cannot be deleted, LeadCenter skips those accounts and continues deleting the rest when possible.
After Deletion
When the bulk delete process finishes, you return to the Accounts list and a message appears at the top of the page.
Green message — all selected accounts were deleted successfully.
Yellow message — some accounts were deleted, and some were skipped. The skipped accounts and reasons are listed.
Red message — no selected accounts could be deleted. The reasons are listed for each one.
Examples of Why an Account May Be Skipped
The account is already marked as Issued.
The account has one or more transfers linked to it.
The account cannot be removed because of related financial-account restrictions that must be resolved first.
Best Practices
Review account statuses before bulk deleting, especially if your list may include issued accounts.
Use filters on the Accounts page first so you only select the records you actually want to remove.
Be careful when selecting all rows on a page, especially in large account lists.
If an account has transfers, resolve those transfers first before trying again.
Remember that linked documents are detached, not deleted, so review document cleanup separately if needed.
