Wealthbox Per-User Connections

LeadCenter supports per-user Wealthbox connections, which means each team member can connect their own Wealthbox account. This helps contacts, tasks, and notes pushed from LeadCenter show the correct creator and, when applicable, the correct assignee in Wealthbox.


Overview

Previously, records pushed to Wealthbox appeared under the single main Wealthbox connection for the firm. With per-user connections, each team member can link their own Wealthbox account so records can reflect the right person in Wealthbox.

  • Correct creator — Contacts, tasks, and notes can show as created by the user who performed the action in LeadCenter.
  • Correct assignee — Contacts and tasks can reflect the correct assignee based on the owner in LeadCenter.
  • Automatic fallback — If a user has not connected their own Wealthbox account, LeadCenter falls back to the main Wealthbox connection for the firm.

How to Connect Your Personal Wealthbox Account

  1. Click your avatar or name in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Personal Profile.
  3. Open the Connections tab.
  4. Under the Wealthbox section, click Connect Wealthbox.
  5. You will be redirected to Wealthbox to authorize the connection.
  6. After authorizing, you will be redirected back to LeadCenter.

Note: The user who originally set up the main Wealthbox integration does not need to connect again separately. That account is already linked as the primary connection.

How to Disconnect Your Personal Wealthbox Account

  1. Go to Personal ProfileConnections.
  2. Click Disconnect Wealthbox.
  3. Confirm the disconnection.

After disconnecting, records you push will go back to using the main Wealthbox connection for the firm.


How Creator and Assignee Work

Creator

The creator in Wealthbox depends on whose Wealthbox connection is used when LeadCenter sends the record.

  • If you have your own personal Wealthbox connection, your connection is used and the record appears as created by you.
  • If you do not have a personal connection, LeadCenter uses the main firm-level Wealthbox connection, so the record appears under that account instead.

Assignee

For contacts and tasks, Wealthbox assignment is based on the record owner in LeadCenter.

  • Contacts: The contact owner in LeadCenter is mapped to the corresponding Wealthbox user when possible.
  • Tasks: The task owner in LeadCenter is mapped to the corresponding Wealthbox user when possible.
  • Notes: Notes do not use an assignee in Wealthbox. Only the creator matters.

If the owner has not connected their personal Wealthbox account, the assignee falls back to the account used for the push.


Admin View: Team Wealthbox Connections

Admins can review connected team members from the Wealthbox integration settings page.

  1. Go to IntegrationsWealthboxSettings.
  2. Review the Team Wealthbox connections table.
  3. The primary connection is marked with a Main badge.

This helps admins see which team members have connected their own Wealthbox account and which account is being used as the primary fallback.


What Happens If the Main Wealthbox Account Is Disconnected

If the main Wealthbox integration is disconnected from the Integrations page, all per-user Wealthbox connections are also disconnected.

After the main integration is reconnected, team members will need to reconnect their personal Wealthbox accounts as well.


Important Notes

  • Each user can have only one personal Wealthbox connection per LeadCenter account.
  • The main tenant connection user cannot create a second separate personal connection.
  • Per-user connections are optional. The integration still works without them by using the primary firm-level Wealthbox connection.
  • Push settings, such as which record types are synced, are controlled at the tenant level and apply to all users.

Best Practices

  • Have each team member connect their own Wealthbox account if you want pushed records to reflect the correct creator.
  • Use per-user connections when contact and task ownership matters for reporting or handoffs in Wealthbox.
  • Leave the main firm-level Wealthbox connection in place even when users connect individually, since it acts as the fallback.
  • Admins should periodically review the Team Wealthbox connections table to confirm who is connected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all users need to connect their own Wealthbox account?

No. Per-user connections are optional. If a user does not connect their own account, LeadCenter will continue using the main Wealthbox connection for the firm.
