New Feature: TCPA Compliance Message for Text Messaging

We’re excited to introduce a new feature that helps your firm stay compliant with TCPA regulations when texting new contacts.

What’s New?

  • Automatically append a TCPA compliance disclosure to the first text message sent to a new contact.
  • Customize your compliance message with required info: sender name, purpose, frequency, and message/data rates.
  • Enable or disable the feature anytime from your settings.

Why It Matters

TCPA rules require that the very first SMS you send to a new contact contains a brief opt-in disclosure including:

  • Sender name
  • Purpose of the message
  • Message frequency
  • Any applicable message or data rates

This feature ensures you meet that legal requirement automatically, reducing risk and keeping communication clear.

How to Use

  1. Go to the Phone Numbers page:
    https://app.leadcenter.ai/dashboard/leads/call-center-settings
  2. Click the Settings dropdown at the top right.
  3. Select Text Messaging TCPA Compliance.
  4. In the pop-up:
    • Toggle the feature On or Off.
    • Enter your custom compliance message.
  5. Save your changes.

Important Notes

  • The compliance message is only added to the very first SMS sent to each new contact.
  • You must enable the feature and add your compliance text for it to take effect.
