You can now create and manage appointments with existing contacts even if they don’t have an email address.
This update removes unnecessary friction when scheduling meetings with contacts whose email information hasn’t been collected yet.
What’s New
Schedule with any contact — Existing contacts can be selected even if they don’t have an email address.
Email no longer required — Appointments can be saved without an email when a contact already exists.
Improved contact search — Contacts are shown by name first, with email displayed as secondary information.
Smoother editing — Edit appointments without being forced to add or update an email.
How It Works
Creating Appointments with Existing Contacts
Select any existing contact from the contact search dropdown.
If the contact has an email, it will be used automatically.
If the contact does not have an email, the appointment can still be created.
No validation error will block you from saving.
Creating New Contacts
When creating a new contact during appointment scheduling:
An email address is still required.
This ensures newly created contacts have valid contact information.
Editing Existing Appointments
Email is now optional when editing appointments.
Contact data is only updated if you explicitly provide a new email.
Leaving the email field blank will not overwrite existing information.
Contact Search Improvements
Contacts are displayed by full name instead of email.
Email appears in parentheses when available.
Contacts without email show No email address in muted text.
All contacts can be selected regardless of email status.
Important Notes
Email notifications: Contacts without email will not receive appointment confirmations or reminders.
Calendar invites: Calendar invites require an email address to be sent.
Best practice: Add an email to contacts when possible to enable full appointment notifications.
