New: Household-Level View for Families

You can now view and manage families at the household level — not just as individual contacts. The upgraded Families (Households) experience brings all related contacts, activity, communications, and financial data into a single, unified household view.

Instead of jumping between multiple contact records, you can now see the full family picture in one place — making it easier to prepare for meetings, manage relationships, and understand household-level value.

  • Household-first detail view — See families as a single household instead of scattered contacts
  • Unified activity visibility — View appointments, tasks, notes, documents, and communications across all family members
  • Household financial overview — Instantly see total issued AUM and insurance for the entire family
  • Clear family structure — Head of Household, spouse, and relationships are visible at a glance
  • Seamless navigation — Move easily between household and individual contact records

The household detail page brings accounts, financial totals, and activity for all family members into one unified view.

Who This Is For

This update is available for Financial Advisor accounts and is designed for advisors who manage relationships at the household level rather than one contact at a time.

Accessing Households

You can access households directly from the Contacts area:

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Click Households in the header navigation
  3. You’ll see a list of all households in your account

Note: The Households view is only visible when your industry is set to Financial Advisor.

Households List View

The households list shows each family at a glance, including:

  • Household name (click to open the household)
  • Head of Household and spouse details
  • Quick peek icons to preview HOH and spouse information
  • Created date for the household

You can search households by name and sort them alphabetically for faster access.

Household Detail Page

Clicking into a household opens a dedicated household detail page that aggregates everything related to that family.

Key Household Information

  • Household name
  • Head of Household client status and client-since date
  • Total issued AUM assets across all household members
  • Total issued insurance for the household
  • Most recent meeting date for any family member
  • Assigned writing and servicing advisors (based on HOH)

Household Tabs

The household page includes multiple tabs that load dynamically to give you full visibility:

  • Contacts — All family members and their roles
  • Family Tree — Visual view of family relationships
  • Appointments — All meetings across household members
  • Tasks — Tasks assigned to any family member
  • Notes — Notes related to household members
  • Documents — Shared household documents
  • Accounts — Financial accounts across the family
  • Emails — Email communication history
  • Calls — Call logs and recordings
  • Texts — SMS conversations

Editing and Managing Households

You can manage household records directly from the list or detail view:

  • Edit household names
  • Update family relationships
  • Change the Head of Household
  • Delete households (contacts remain intact)

Exporting Household Data

Household data can be exported to CSV for reporting or review:

  1. Go to the Households list
  2. Apply filters if needed
  3. Click Actions → Download CSV

The export includes household information, Head of Household details, spouse details, and key contact data.

Why This Matters

  • See the complete family relationship — not just individual records
  • Prepare for meetings with full household context
  • Understand true household value at a glance
  • Reduce back-and-forth between contact records

Good to Know

  • Households are available for Financial Advisor accounts only
  • Deleting a household does not delete contacts
  • All data remains searchable and reportable
