You can now connect Steep Marketing directly to LeadCenter to automatically sync seminar and event registrations into your account. This replaces the need for indirect workarounds, such as forwarding Steep registration notification emails into LeadCenter.
Once connected, Steep registrations can be imported as contacts and event attendees, including guests the registrant brings along.
To connect Steep, go to Settings → Integrations → Events Marketing, open the Steep card, enter your Steep API key, and click Connect. LeadCenter runs an initial sync after the connection is saved, then continues syncing on a schedule.
Before registrations can sync, the matching event must already exist in LeadCenter. Steep does not create new LeadCenter events automatically. If a Steep registration comes in and no matching LeadCenter event is found, the registration is skipped until a matching event exists.
When a Steep registration matches a LeadCenter event, LeadCenter creates or updates the contact, links the person to the event as an attendee, and carries over the registration status and registration date from Steep.
If the registration includes guests, LeadCenter can create guest attendee records and connect them to the primary attendee so your event list reflects the full registration group.
LeadCenter matches Steep registrations to existing LeadCenter events using event details such as the event date, start time, ZIP code, venue, city, and state. The event title is not used for matching, so your LeadCenter event name can differ from the Steep event name.
In most cases, matching works best when the LeadCenter event has the same date, start time, and ZIP code as the Steep event.
Steep is treated as the source of truth for attendee status. When Steep updates a registration status, the next sync can update the attendee status in LeadCenter.
LeadCenter can also send event communications when a new registration is imported or when a synced attendee status changes. Emails and text messages are only sent when the matching LeadCenter event is in Scheduled status, the appropriate template is configured for that attendee status, and the contact has the required email address or mobile number.
After Steep is connected, LeadCenter runs an initial sync in the background. New registrations are pulled on a regular schedule, and upcoming events are refreshed to capture status changes, confirmed or attended flags, and guest list updates.
If a guest is later removed from a Steep registration, the upcoming-events refresh can remove that guest from the LeadCenter event while keeping the primary registrant and remaining guests intact.
